They increased level required to 455 skinning, and I was unabled to skin 2 bosses of Violet Hold(Lavanthor and Cyanigosa), I think they change to all skinnabled boss in any Heroics must be confirmed!!!

The WoW forums indicate that "skinning" mobs (mining elementals, engineering mechanicals, etc.) for level 82 mobs require 455 of the appropriate skill, level 83 mobs require 470. Not sure about 81, I am assuming that it is 450 or less for those.

The bosses in Azjol-Nerub require 455 to skin. I guess that means more Cata-quality skins later, but it was a surprise.

Bust out finkle's skinner, the skinning sword, and skinning enchant. Is there any races that get +skinning too?

yup guess they did i experienced the same thing in OS today pat dragons were orange for skinning and sarth isnt skinnable anymore requires 470...soo guess we've gotta wait till cata to skin certain creatures.

looks like the knife from the Tiger boss in ZG looks pretty sweet right about now. Or would it not work?

I thought finkle's was the dagger. Theres a dagger thats +skinning and sword thats +skinning. Originally Posted by Musicman835

mmhm. The Beast, in UBRS drops Finkle's Skinner, the knife, whereas Tiger boss in ZG drops the sword, Zulian Slicer. Have them both on my Rogue, even though he hasn't been a skinner since TBC launched.
