Race Changes???

I was wondering if I were to pay for a race change lets say a week before cataclysm's release, could I just let it sit there on my login screen till release so i could just race change to a goblin? I want to be able to switch right away and I have a feeling they will be over overwhelmed on release

At the same point, I don't see why not, since their race changes won't cost more. Only thing I can think of is if systematically it only registers it to be allowed to chance to races at the point of request.

It sounds like the OP would like to purchase a race change now, hold off on actually changing the race, and then when Cataclysm launches on Dec. 7, change the character's race at that time.

To the OP: for confirmation, I would check with Customer Support. I'm sure they'd be able to give you a definite answer.

I think he's asking is if you pay for a race change and not USE it until Cataclysm's released, if you'll be able to use it THEN to change to a Goblin/Worgen.

I wouldn't risk it.

At the same time, I have absolutely no idea why you'd want to do something like that. Just doesn't make since to me. Just wait for Cataclysm to launch, IMO.

I've had a Race Change sitting for my main for about 2 month's now. Was going to change into a Nelf, but once I heard more about Worgen and saw how they looked I decided to hold off. I can tell you as of now. I still have it.

I can see why the OP wants to do it this way. Blizzard may get an overload for this service, and I know they've had issues in the past when they've been overloaded. OP just wants to get a character changed to a goblin right away without any hassle.

I would try to race change right at midnight, most likely your best bet.

I would just make sure that will work before going ahead with that. You wouldn't want to pay for a race change and then not be allowed to change at release or after with the race you want.

That's not how they work. Once you buy them, the selected character gets flagged for the change, and you perform the change itself within the game client. There should be no competition with anyone or any reason to go back to the website once the character has been flagged.

Hopefully you get a reply from a blue soon, that would be a good question to ask and a good way to make it easier on the payment servers and such on release day.
