dark portal in azshara

Afaik know it was there during the Vanilla alpha.

I guess they removed it.

yes it was only in the alpha (ot beta, dont know for sure) of classic. was suggested to be an awesome instance portal, but was removed.

I believe back then the Dark Portal model was used for all instance entrances.

There is also a portal in zangamarsh, on very western boundary. And another in...whatever that zone is that houses Dire Maul. Supposedly links to future expacs (shrug).

The one in Zangarmarsh (and BEM and Nagrand) are actual portals for the Burning Legion. Illidan closed them. The Feralas portal is a different model portal, and is to the Emerald Dream, like the ones in Hinterlands, Ashenvale, and Duskwood.
