Disc and haste

how much haste should i aim for as disc?

and what is the "haste cap" ?

Personally i'm sitting at 751, in disc gear, the reason being heroic LK farming and shield spam what it is atm. I feel fine at about 550-600 without the raid buffs and borrowed time taken into account for most things. (its about .04 seconds difference on the GCD)

Assuming +5% Raid Buff Haste, and +14% Borrowed Time, and varying the Darkness talent, the result is:

With 3 Darkness 21.66% 711 2774
With 2 Darkness 22.86% 750 2927
With 1 Darkness 24.07% 790 3083
With 0 Darkness 25.31% 831 3241

Granted things change, and besides the 80 numbers I haven't tested them. although, I aim a point over, becasue there was some rounding error (or a flaw in peoples math) that was causing I know caps for extra renew ticks as holy, or rejuv ticks on druids to require one more.

My gcd macro isn't working on beta, so I really can't confirm numbers for the 85 situation. Good luck.
