Exclamation Amazing undead bird of prey.

I figured I'd share this with my fellow hunters:

This beautiful/disgusting? bird of prey can only be found in Western Plaguelands and can only be tamed during quest "A Different Approach", (mid 30s quest!), grab him while you can.

Can't see the pictures (I found them though, but yeah), don't know if anyone / everyone else can.

Now when you say "only in Western Plaguelands," you actually mean "also in Icecrown," right?

Unless you, for some reason, can't tame those. But I find that unlikely.

That's exactly what i thought "WTF DISARM EVERY 5SEC TEH HELL?"

    i found the skill!

    Code:
    Snatch [Special Ability] Melee Range
    Instant 1 min cooldown
The bird of prey grabs the enemy's weapon with its talons, disarming them for 10 sec.
1min CD, but still thats pretty insane, that's like having a personal rogue with dismantle at your side :P

Nope, he's ONLY available in Western Plaguelands during a certain quest.

The disarm is on a 1min CD http://www.wowhead.com/spell=91644. And the ones in northrend are considered undead so you cant tame them.

So... what makes this one different from the mobs with the same exact model that have been flying around Icecrown Glacier for an entire expansion? Again, unless those aren't tameable.

I think those in Icecrown are classified as undead, so you can't tame them

For Alliance only? Wonder where the questline is for horde?

I can't tell you that, I assume it's both, but I could be wrong.

It's a Cenarion Expedition quest, I can't imagine it's faction-specific. Especially considering the quest involves dealing with a troll druid NPC.

    Exactly.

He became my favorite pet during PTR testing, I -loves- me my birds of prey, and they'll be AWESOME in pvp.

For those who wanted more info, here it is:

This is a Cata quest maybe available after patch 4.0.3a.

-The quest is available to both alliance and horde.
-The quest hub is called The Menders' Stead, which is in the middle of the new Western Plaguelands. The questgiver is a tauren woman named Adrine Towhide. She will first give you the quest Zen'Kiki, the Druid. Zen'Kiki is a troll druid (who's having some trouble shapeshifting) who will follow you around during these quests. For this first quest, you'll simply need to kill 20 beasts in the area with him following you.
    - The followup, A Different Approach takes you and your troll druid buddy to a hill just to the east of the quest hub. You'll see the birds above you on beast tracking.
    - You'll need to target one of the birds flying above you and right-click Zen'Kiki to get him to attack it. The bird will drop down to you at full health, ready to be tamed.
    - You CAN call a bird down for someone else, provided that they can obtain aggro on the bird without killing said bird. Aggro drops are great for this.

Finally, the ones in Northrend are apparently untameable.
