Why is the sky blue?

Because God loves the Infantry.

But the constant spam of "Hurr, where do I learn Azeroth flying" or "Herp a derp, how does I make Worgen?" are really getting to me. It takes someone pretty inconsiderate to ask a question they know has been answered a thousand times before, when they could put forth a little of their own effort and look it up themselves. I think I'll just start replying "Ask a guard."

I'll give you the short version. 400,000 years ago an unnamed being of fire and shadow roamed the universe, it eventually found it's way to Earth and began to destroy everything. The smurfs did not like this and hatched a plan to destroy this being. 3 of the purest smurfs virgins were launched at the being, each holding one of the elemental crystals of wind, rain and storm.

As the 3 virgin smurfs grew closer to the being their forms began to destabilize, and their essences fused with the crystals. And as the crystals reached the being they created an explosion that lit the cosmos for 30,000 days and the Earth was left with the blue sky we see today.
