If only they permanently extended this offer. My friend wants to get into WoW, but he doesn't like the idea of having to buy every expansion along with the original for a total of $90. Add Cataclysm and the cost for having a fully upgraded account alone is $130.

Really, what kind of new WoW player is willing to pay that? I know that you don't have to buy all of the expansions at once, but eventually you will, right? It's just not feasible for people anymore now that WoW's at its third expansion.

bestbuy's black friday ad has WoW battle chest (original + burning crusade) selling for $10 on friday nov. 26th and sat nov 27th. just incase you prefer the hard copy incase you need to reinstall some day blizz's digital wotlk download for $10 is a great deal though

They really should but with this all 3 = $20 plus cata will cost $40 so pretty much a $60 game just like any other new game out there.
