I'd heard a little tidbit of info lorewise from a dev and he said that after bolvar's demise gamon is the newly corrupted and ends up smiting the horde for being punted so many times.

On the topic of linear continuity, MMOs always take some liberty with time lines and such. You must use your imagination for old content, and fit the time line back together as you see fit.

The Twilights hammer, the war between horde and alliance i mean theres other things than just deathwing heck the reemergence of the Defias, and the blackrock orcs attacking the alliance it is obvious that there is more than just a "Few things linear motion"
