The Empire of Thaurissan pretty much worshipped Ragnaros.

The Dark Iron were Twilight Cultists before there were Twilight Cultists.

The ones following Moira Thaurissan are essentially turning back on the beliefs they have held since the War of The Three Hammers.

To cut a long story short, the Dark Irons split into 2 factions. One of them rejoined the Alliance under Moira, and the other threw in their lot with the Twilight's Hammer.
