Did the thread die or something?
No... it did not.
Sometimes it creeps down to page 2 or 3, but gets bumped back up again.

Holy shit, I can buy this GPU @ 50% of normal price.

Any ideas of how that holds up against the GTX 560ti? *curious*
Not sure how benchmarks will reflect its performance, considering the OC level.
I was checking some parts and the conversion is almost 10:1. The Antec ISK 100 is 700SEK (cheapest place I could find) where I bought it, and it's $75 on Newegg.
Anyway, checking Newegg I ended up with $245 (counting 20 for the RAM)

*still curious about the GPU linked earlier*
Haha, not going to argue with you there mate ^^
Still, I choose my wording carefully :P "corresponding" as in; "if you were to order it in the US, that's what it would cost"
I mean, for $360 you can almost get a budget gaming computer without a GPU, i.e. a Sandy Bridge setup.
Three-slotter. Will perform as well as you can get on an aftermarket GPU-cooler on a GTX470 barring the Accelero Xtreme.
The GPU at stock settings is worse though. And both could obviously be OCd. For the price however, it's tough to beat. Price-performance, it beats the 560Ti, takes a victory lap around it and sits on its back spanking its bottom.
I'd expect you could push the GPU further than those clocks, with that cooler, also. The GTX470 can be pushed quite far.
Some changes to my setup since the last time I posted, heres an update:
Looks very nice. love the good cable management, the liquid cooling, and the Halo Reach poster.

I think the rad should have the tube holes on the other side. But I'm picky. Otherwise a sweet rig

SO - I know this has nothing to do with gaming computers, but I'm going to tell you all what my company forces us to do work on.
First of all - we're constantly having new instances of Microsoft Office Document Imaging pop up, as well as lots of PDF files.
What I do - I'm a public records specialist for a third party verifications/background screening company. Basically, I go through public record information in specific counties based on your credit report and try to find crimes you've commited (or have had dismissed) and report them based on state and federal reporting rules. I'm on a computer every day at work for 9 hours.
We run a 3-monitor setup on these lovely wonders of technology.
Our corporate parent company specializes in data storage and security options for companies all over the world. They have the means, but not the will to provide us with better. Instead, this is a sample machine.
Intel Pentium 4 CPU @ 3.00 GHz (with first generation HT!)
1.5 GB ram
NVidia GeForce4 MX 4000
crummy HP 17" monitors
generic dell keyboard and mouse.
Our monitors are all 3 VGA, one into the on-board, one into the gpu, and a third hooked through (i believe) d-sub to VGA converter.
I want to off myself working on these antique beasts.
It's okay, our self checkout computer at the grocery store I work at crashed yesterday (BSOD on all the check out windows and the control station... apparently they run on Windows XP )
