Yeah, but if you want to keep your old RAM you'll have to mount it "sideways" (like I have), which should thankfully work with most motherboards' PCIe 16x slot barely. Or alternatively mount the fan distinctly higher, which is kinda silly imo.
A friend of me is building a small server, so he ordered the LP Vengeance sticks, and we swapped. so he has me "old" RAM now.

Aaah! Neat'o. Yeah, they're black and tiny. I don't think you'll notice them even if you're looking and even if the NH-D14 didn't cover them.

I do, I wanted the blue ones Not that I'm looking in my case all the time, but when I do I see black sticks. And in a few days, with the Define XL, there is no window anymore. That way it's even harder to notice

Rather, when a NH-D14 covers enough of them you can only see the sides of one of the DIMMs? :P

The first thought I had, when I unboxed both the NH-D14 and the Direct Cu II were "Ehh, it's not that big" (That's what she said..), but once I actually popped it in and in relation to the rest of the build..
    Yes. It is that big.

I remember my Gefore 4 MX 440. It's about 1/4th of the size of the 6950, was passive cooled and used 1 slot.
The Asus MARS II sure is the biggest card I've ever seen.

When I saw the box of the VenomousX I was already surprised by its size. Then I saw pictures of the box the NH-D14 comes in.....

My Kingston ram is fairly low-profile, went with blue because it matched the LED's...or atleast, I wanted them to -_- now wishing I had gone for Corsair's vengeance.

edit: pic looks dusty because I took the photo through the side window

No no, I should have mentioned, everyone thinks tetris is cool, so they are all copying you! ;p
I actually didn't know she had an R3 before I got mine. I was actually going to cave and get an HAF or drop life savings on an 800D before I noticed the R3 on sale AND with a water cooler (which I use at work now instead because the pump is loud).

Also... what should I do to my computer next? I am thinking... sound card.

Yeah I think I'm going to get a 120GB to replace my 80GB and put the 80GB in my laptop.

I have my OS, WoW, and other programs on my SSD and only have 8GB left.. I'd like to fit SC2 and D3 on there too.

It's kinda dark inside the case, but it's pretty organized. I have like an inch and a half of space for my graphics card.

Congrats to the 8 fools who made the ignore list, your ignorance knows no bounds, bravo!

Yeah I posted the specs last night

Intel Core i7 2600k (stock speed)
    MSI Twin Frozor Radeon HD6870
Gigabyte Z86 Socket 1155 microATX motherboard
    G.Skill 2x2GB DDR3 1600Mhz Performance series
    G.Skill 2x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz Ripjaws series (so 12GB total memory)
Sunbeamtech Comet 750 watt PSU (a friend gave it to me since I sold my old setup, I know it's overkill and I am probably going to get something lower wattage)
Kingston 64GB SSD, Western Digital 2TB 7200RPM secondary drive
Samsung Blu Ray Reader + LG Lightscribe dual layer Blu Ray Burner
    Thermaltake Armor A30 microATX case

I really do love this little rig, however I am thinking that prior to the winter I will need to invest in a better CPU cooler, and if I can find a 23cm fan that will fit on top as a method of air pulling, I will replace that too since the top fan does not draw much air at all (compared to other fans anyway). The internal case temperature reads 30 C on the BIOS, CPU runs around 50 C on load which is not bad. Anyone who can recommend a really low profile, low noise and quality 1155 CPU cooler, I am taking suggestions. I was considering other more affordable graphics cards and replacing the stock fans on them with a VGA cooler but the price difference between the MSI Twin Frozor cards and buying a cheaper one plus a good VGA cooler was 30 bucks more for two parts rather then just buying the card itself. Runs all my games exceptionally well, waiting on my bandwidth for the month to reset so I can download Metro 2033 and see how well it handles that.

Congrats to the 8 fools who made the ignore list, your ignorance knows no bounds, bravo!
