That is indeed better. Something to consider, then.
    What about the MBA 11"?

    1366x768!

It's a tiny screen though. But some applications may have trouble with the resolution. Had that reso (on my 15" vaio) and some application windows were simply too large. And video editing, image editing, anything there needed too many pixels used on the tool palettes. Too little screen real estate overall. Might be a lil' different in OSX, though. Haven't tested.

That and the shorter battery time made me go for the 13". Also some might find the 11" too small to work on for a longer amount of time, I'm guessing.

I recently completed building my brand new rig! It is really awesome and my old computer was 3 years old, so I felt like I wanted something completely new. I built it with a friend of mine. It's my first time building a PC and his second. I believe we did a good job
The spec list is (it is also in my signature):

    CPU: Intel i5 3570K @ 4.00GHz (for now)
    - with a Corsair H100
GFX: ASUS GeForce GTX 670 2GB
    MB: ASUS Sabertooth Z77
    RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz
    PSU: 750W Corsair TX V2
    HDD: 1TB Western Digital
SSD: 120GB Corsair Force Series 3
    Chassis: Cooler Master Storm Stryker
    Monitor: 23" Samsung SA750D & 21,5" Samsung Syncmaster P2270
    Keyboard: Logitech G510
    Headset: Logitech G35
    Mouse: Steelseries Diablo III Mouse

My main monitor is also rather new (got no direct pics of it right now). Bought it 4 months ago and then I figured out that i couldn't use it after all, because of my old graphic card didn't have a DP-port and my new monitor didn't have DVI-port. Therefore I had to wait for my new rig to be able to use my monitor. I was a bit saddened at first, but now I really enjoy using it and I don't mind the waiting time. It even has 3D!!

Question, why is everyone getting 16gb of RAM? I was lead to believe 8gb is sufficient in most cases?

It's cheap and it was rumored to become less cheap. But if it's useful today or not depends on what you do. If you just intend to play games, 8GB RAM is well enough right now.

Yeh, that pic is without the two 4 slot hard drive cages that hang below the cd drive. It could fit another graphics card too but it might get toasty.

Seeing everyone's cases so nice and tidy almost makes me want to clean mine up lol.. Need a new desk too while I'm at it >.>

Happy with my rig at the moment. The cable tiding inside the case looks alright... just don't look under the desk. I've got so many cables down there that I'm even scared to try and figure out a way of making it tidier. My desk isn't massive but it suits my needs fine - until a few weeks ago I was sitting on my bed with my keyboard on my lap and my mouse on my mattress, so it's heavenly to finally have a decent surface. The only thing I'd really change is the way my monitors are raised. It's pretty ghetto using books and a table mat to higher them but it does the job so I can't really justify buying proper stands.

    • Case: Corsair 600T White Edition
    • Cooler: Corsair H100
    • PSU: Corsair HX 850W
    • CPU: Intel Core i7 3770K (at 4.5Ghz, so far so good) CPU-Z Validator
    • Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth Z77
    • RAM: Kingston HyperX 16GB (4x4) 1600Mhz
    • GPU: Gigabyte GTX 670 Windforce Edition
    • SSDs: 1x Kingston SSDNow V+200 240GB, 2x Intel 330 180 GB

Sadly, I couldn't get my hands on the Vengeance sticks since they were out of stock and I was in a hurry, so I had to pick them up. The SSD's might not be the best ones in the market, but boy do I see a difference in booting and loading programs and games! Pretty happy in that regard. Also personally, I wanted this build to have nothing but SSD's when it comes to storage.

Even though this rig is going to be mainly for gaming, I had to choose the i7 3770k because I just wanted to be perfectly safe when I do some extra video rendering for my work when I'm home.

Some people told me that the 850W PSU is actually overkill, and I know, but I honestly always like to have an overkill PSU for my builds. It's just... me.

So far, I'm getting 25-29c on idle, and at heavy load the highest I've seen was 58 I believe. Keep in mind that from what I've noticed, the CPU was spiking a little in temperature, but it wasn't something alarming.
