Recently built this for my brother.

    Specs:
    Video Card: GeForce GTX460
    Motherboard: MSI H61M-P23 Intel H61
    Processor: Intel i3 2100
Memory: Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB DDR RAM @ 1600Mhz
    HDD: SpinPoint F3 500gb
Power Sup: Cooler Master Elite 500w (came with case)
    Case: Cooler Master 430
    Monitor: Hanns-G HL231DPB 23"
    Mouse: Razer Abyssus
    Keyboard: Generic cheap thing
    Headset: Creative Fatal1ty
    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

Everything went fine, apart from the lack of space for tidy cable management. He did a test run before in a BH 25 man on Ultra (good shadows) and didn't drop below 45 FPS. Not bad for £400!

Best I could do with the cables

My personal opinion, but I hope you kept your receipt :P

You might love them, but for me they were really tight on my ears, had a pretty bad bass quality and the microphone sounded awful to others :<
I might have bought a dodgy pair(wouldn't put it past PC World tbh...) The one time I don't order a part off the internet and it ends up horrible, think it's telling me something?

You really did a great job with the cables tbh. I have that case too (hopefully not much longer though) and my cables look terrible. There really is not much room for proper cable management.

You're mentioning the hair and thus making people more likely to notice the hair.

Case: A 10 year old tower that has been with the dawn of time (which is actually true). AT-based (not ATX).
    HDD: 2, 1 250GB and 1 1TB disk together with a Blu-ray burner, a DVD-burner and a CD-burner (I never get rid of the junk)
    GPU: an ATI Radon 570HD
    CPU: Intel Core2Duo E7400 2.8 GHZ (OC'd towards 3.1Ghz)
    PWS: 700W Zalman
Sound card, extra network card, stock coolers.
19'' inch and 17'' inch monitors.

    I'm happy.
