aka the RIVE, it's hands down the best LGA2011 board out there, pictured is mine with a 4930k in it next to my z97 classy and 4790k, they are still available through OEMs and system builders

brand new board with plenty of added dev time and experience that the original never had, the only thing better is the looks, still doesn't out perform the original or add any real features

if they both were released at the same time, i would say they are equals, but since the black was released a couple years later and was unable to really out perform the RIVE, or even have any enticing features other than the color scheme, i think that makes the RIVE the superior board, since its older and can still stand up to it's supposed replacement

Well, I just see them as equals still. I'm not trying to call the RIVE BE superior, just that we're not talking about RIVE being "the" handsdown board. It shares the spotlight. :P

I checked now on your behalf, but it does in fact not appear on pcpartpicker. That's weird. Still, you should google these things before calling bs, seeing as Asus has a pretty nice product page.

    I still don't believe him. That's a $5000 rig, regardless the motherboard.

Some people have money to burn.

To the topic at hand! I am actually planning on building a semi-portable rig (no laptops here). I will post both rigs and pics when I get that going.

Yes it is. Although I believe they're just called Parvum Systems S2.0, no "micro". The build quality is incredible. Right up there with Caselabs.

It's not always about what job you have, or how much money you earn..
It's about how much money are you willing to spend on your computer.

First start to my next build. I'm so impressed with this case I don't care it was above budget now. Can't wait to see what sort of loop/s I can get going.

    the answer is
It's not always about what job you have, or how much money you earn..
It's about how much money are you willing to spend on your computer.

as solvexx says, but also, some people dont buy everything in one go, take for example, if you just want a decent gaming rig, who says you need to drop £1000/$1650 on a build in one go, you can buy a part month by month.

Save a bit, buy a cpu and motherboard.
    next month, buy some ram
    next month, get a PSU
next month or 2, get a decent GPU

    as an example that is.

Im not a high earner at the moment, but I built my rig like this, already had a mid end pc, but was patient to do this, also I dont drive to work, I walk 30 min each way XD.
