I would like to second this!

Also, sidenote - I think BD will compete with the 2600k for multithreading, but not the i5 for gaming. The awesomeness of the SB cores is undeniable, the OC capabilities, and how well it performs heat wise... BD better be epic...

    That I know. And I still don't get why you'd mention that. o.o I literally can't see a reason for it. e.e
Unless my statement and your statement were entirely unrelated. Durr...

My case already has plenty of circulation, and even at full speed only sounds like the air-conditioner. Still, more cooling is fun.

An i5-2500K setup would have done you better justice.

Can you tell me why? I admittedly do not know many of the 'details' in technicalities.

The i7-9xx series of chips, is older technology, the 1366 LGA socket is an enthusiast level board from a past generation. Not only does it run hotter, most of, if not all, of the CPUs in this line, the 980x and 990x (a couple thousand dollar CPUs) may still be able to compete, are not as strong as the newer CPUs. I'd really suggest you rethink your order if you still can, if not, it'll probably do alright for you, but there's honestly a lot of stuff in that line that most people will never take advantage of.
