Is the CPU cooler able to get enough air sitting like that, only a millimeter or two off the graphics card PCB?

2x Ref. GPU's sitting ontop of eachother get enough air, so I guess it does. :P

I'd argue removing the bottom fan on that cooler, but eh.

Here's Calzaeth's rig. This is the rig I'm sorta techsupporting. We're done with that, we're just kinda fucking around waiting for something now.

    Specs
    i7 3770k
    Antec Kühler h20 620
    Sabertooth Z77
    G. Skill Trident 16GB kit running at 1600MHz
    MSI Lightning GTX 680
    OCZ Max Iops 120GB
    Seasonic X-...dammit, I forgot.
    Corsair 500R

What're we doing that's fucking around? Well, till my brother gets his replacement watercooling fittings the computer's staying (since Cal's borrowing a PC from me for the moment anyway). My brother wanted more drive space, and I suggested RAID. So here we go, 2x Corsair Force 3 240s. (Not sure if in RAID yet. Let my brother try and figure that out on his own.)

well airflow isn't a problem 200mm top fan + 140mm side one , don't forget it's a backplated gpu which kinda made it thighter .
however i do i think i'll have a big problem when i want to reach my other 2 ram slots :P

While true, virtually any movement whatsoever will easily change that to any other orientation.

This is mostly a myth as far as case airflow is concerned, the natural convection currents that carry warm air up are so weak that fans pretty much have a 99% say in which way the air goes. Especially in a closed environment like a case.

Hot air goes up, except when it is pushed by fans. Then it goes where the fan tells it to go.

well finally got my 600t push/pull finished up. Was a complete nightmare to set up but looks like it turned out alright in the end. Also changed around a few things like got rid of the hdd mounts that i didnt need in there. The 3570k is sitting at 4.5 ghz at the moment stable for 4 hours then got bored and shut it down! I wont post the rest of my build bc i did on an earlier page in this thread, and its mostly in my sig too. Next step is a new gpu someday.

    Shot of the push/pull:

Is it really worth it to do push/pull with such ultrathin fans?

Push/pull does increase static pressure (but not airflow).
I prefer shrouding radiators for push instead. Using the H-series as intakes is a silly idea to me, no matter that it's marginally more effective; I'd prefer to have more than the rear exhaust actually exhausting, if I have a non-reference GPU.
