Got myself a new keyboard today. My old crappy cheap Dell one was breaking down so I decided to get a new one. I hate mechanical keyboards and prefer the flat keys that don't get so much crap in them so I got a Logitech K800 since it was on sale, pretty good keyboard with nice quite soft keys that are backlit too.

I bought the i7 because i also play a lot of Battlefield 3 and sometimes stream.

A bit of both i cant play everything on ultra so i need better i will only nees to upgrade it sometime anyway why not soon if the apparent date on the 8970 is true (q2 2013) im gonna wait for it.

Just make sure you get a nice, non-ref model, particularly if you're going to OC it. I'd personally consider a MSI Power Edition on NVIDIA's side, or a Sapphire DualX on AMD's side.

Razer Nagas have an obnoxious tendency to break. Get a mouse from Logitech, Roccat, Mionix, or Corsair. (It seems like the only mice Razer seems to be able to make well, in fact the only product they can really make well - are the Death Adders.)

Instead, the vendor will most likely have their own designs for it. So, the Asus DirectCUII you've mentioned would be that, which is great for lower temps and even OC'ing headroom.

My knowledge from looking at benchmarks suggest theres no need to oc a 7970. It can handle anything and everything as far as im aware.

As with everything, OC'ing is always optional, it's just that non-ref cards are great for those purposes since they help the card run at much lower temps, so that they're able to withstand stress a bit better. Personally, stock coolers do the job just fine if you're looking to save some money as well, since they're supposed to be priced lower.

I intend to oc, just not massive ammonts. Maybe an extra 50hz to make it 1ghz sorta thing

Weird... had mine since around November 2010... and it's still going strong.

I have had mine for almost 3 years and it's wearing out, the right click is screwed no matter how much I try to fix it. I have put contact cleaner in the right place and it still bugs out and doesn't hold down properly, which makes sniping annoying as hell.

What I currently got in Greenland, if I manage to find a buyer for the 6850 I'll cancel the order on the 7850 & buy something along the lines of 7970 with a proper aftermarket cooler.
