You'll have to say that a bit louder Deltrus. I am not sure he could hear you over the sound of your Haf X.

But seriously Marest, that is gorgeous.

Marest, could you post a picture of the rear of the motherboard tray? I would be interested in seeing how you sorted out the cables so that they are almost invisible, maybe pick up some tricks

Simply amazing looking build Marest, I have one question though.

How can you use the keyboard portrayed in this picture: http://imgur.com/Y4Tn3QG.jpg

Once I went to the Steelseries Merc Stealth

I simply couldn't use any other type of keyboard for gaming, and feel comfortable. (I am spoilt silly by the game pad on my keyboard hehe)

Is the keyboard in that picture just used for typing, or something? (It looks, smaller than a traditional keyboard)

    Mechanical keyboards win.

    Always.

Marest also isn't a fan of flashy tacky looking stuff.

Ah ok, I'm a bit iffy on what an actual mechanical keyboard is, so I'll have to look into that

I wouldn't call the merc stealth flashy or tacky looking though, but that's just my personal biased opinion.

Seeing as I love mine, the game pad is a great feature for me.

It's better than some keyboards I've seen, but still, I'd prefer a whole separate controller. Maybe some macros right there, but that's it.

Mechanical keys actually have switches and can last almost indefinitely longer than membrane/rubber-dome keyboards.

I have a few macros that I use it to hit with, on WoW, but I play fairly macro light, except for on the Function keys, which are cooldowns.

I like the keyboard a lot though because it just feels like a completely natural hand position for me. When gaming, the distance my left hand sits while on the game pad and where my right hand sits on my mouse feels completely natural and comfortable.

Tbh, I've always felt using a whole separate controller to be really awkward and uncomfortable.

And oh ok, so that's the difference, just longer lasting?

Here's my current setup, will post the specs tomorrow or something when I have more time.

Not much has changed, changed the desktop background, and moved just about all of my icons to the taskbar instead of being on the wallpapered area.

If longer lasting was all the difference, I would have never bought my mechanical keyboard, least not till my last keyboard - Logitech G15 v2, died. Mechanical keyboards is a WHOLE other world.

    Here's some reading:

This was shot when I was originally working on the build.

Well, I use my fingers, hands and arms. Sometimes I roll my face from side to side. Joking aside, it adds more space for my mouse and improves posture. I was going to tackle this in my megathread, but you might consider giving these a read:

    12GB of RAM? O.o
So what, 2x4GB and 2x2GB, yeah?

    Also, come on, pictures!

I would have dropped to the i5-2500K and used the $100~ saved to get a higher end motherboard. $60 is more than likely holding you back, no overclocking most likely, poor low end parts, and far less features.

Haha fair enough! I couldn't be sure what your mouse and keyboard are from this far away. Tell us, what are your peripherals? I see the whole computer setup itself in your sig, but your mouse, keyboard, headset/phones, mic, monitor! And what are the posters?
