You dont need to send mail via blizzards email servers to fake the sender address

As someone who has been in an IT job for around 12 years now and an internet user since the days when 28.8kbps modems were like ZOMG AWESOME! take it from me that anyone with even a low level of computer knowledge can pull this off

If the email header doesn't say the mail originated from Blizzard's servers then it's a scam. You cannot fake that unless you actually send the mail from their servers.

This isn't subtle.

Scam emails:
1. Mouseover the link in the email
2. Compare the destination at the bottom of the screen with what you know to be legit (http://www.battle.net/account)
3. ???
4. Profit

I was gonna say the same thing. I always assumed that it was common sense to take be careful opening any random email.

Iwasnt actually trying to be a smartarse i was just pointing out other flaws with the email, it was late and maybe i came across as a douche so sry about that but it wasnt my intention

This scam is not new and is very obviously fake.

Don't need brain to know that, you need a nub to do it for you

I only open links or do stuff to do with wow on my laptop...which doesnt have wow on it.
