Gearing At Level 80?

It's been a while since I got my first toon to 80 and I don't remember it being this ridiculous to get gear. Dungeon finder won't even let me do normal toc5 and i can't do heroics. And only the first random dungeon each day gives jp. Any solutions?
And I know it's not a big deal with cataclysm coming soon but just a little curious.

Well, there is crafting items, rep rewards, quest rewards from the higher lvl zones and so on.
But yeah, its not long untill cataclysm. I wouldnt worry too much about it

You do have to get yourself to full i200 blues basically before it will let you do reg toc5

I don't see a problem, tbh. Heroics are supposed to be, well, heroic. Progression should be regulars-->heroics-->raids.

Just do randoms until you get gear from there, and then go heroics.

I just dinged 80 on my 5th alt and that also got me by surprise. I couldnt do anything but regular dungeons vs usually just lfg or hop into the que.
