Where did you ding...

hey guys! dont know if this has been done before, but like the title says, where did YOU ding lvl 60? lvl 70? lvl 80?

for me, my iconic ding lvl 60 was in Lights Hope Chapel, in EPL

70 was in Netherstorm - Eco-Dome Midrealm

and 80 was Icecrown - Deaths Rise!

what about you? your first character, or even your main?

I remember i hit 80 in Halls of Lightning, 60 was in Hellfire Penn, and i don't remember where 70 was.

first 60, WPL AoEing skellies @ sorrow hill (about 3months after wow launched)
first 70, SMV not sure exactly where (about 4 days after BC launched)
first 80, Icecrown, turning in the quest shortly after you start the zone after you get the crap from crystalsong forest. (4 days after wrath launched)

I started playing mid-TBC, but still I only remember my first 70 ding. It was in Area 52 in Netherstorm.

60 in Un'goro (farming Essence of Fire), 70 in Netherstorm (finishing the chain that started in Manaforge B'naar and finished in Manaforge Ara), 80 in Storm Peaks (the dwarf camp in Snowdrift Plains.)

i have no idea about 60 and 70 but i remember 80 was sholazar basin at bad puppymens.. aka frenzyheart tribe =p

Level 60 always Hellfire Peninsula (since TBC release anyway) level 70 Borean Tundra atm and Level 80 Sholozar Basin.

Note I have around 13 characters 60+ of whom are ~8 level 80 so some dinged in other places or pre-expansion but this is just in general.

60: Badlands after turning in every BRD quest, actually forgot to update to a TBC account so kinda missed out on xp =(
70: Shadowmoon Valley, Altar of Darkness
80: Uhm, Icecrown, I think..

my first 60 dinged grinding humanoids in silithus before aq existed, there were no quest there just lvl 60 mobs that drop ass loads of cloth and no other players to steal my kills.


first 70 dinged questing in terrokar, i was in the bone wastes doing the tome of light quest at the time it was bugging left and right. I finally got quest complete and it dinged me.

first 80 dinged quesitng in storm peaks, still by far my favorite zone lore/look/feel/flow wise

Was kind of cool seeing as how it was the last boss and all.

That's for my Mage (Old Vanilla / TBC main), the DK was:

60, HFP. 70, Boring Tundra. 80 in Storm Peaks too.

Now, with the nerf to the XP req and new quests:

60, Blasted Lands. 70, Howling Fjord. 80, Grizzly Hills.
Got everything from Zul'drak, Storm Peaks, Sholazar and Icecrown to do @ 80 :X

I just got my 10th lvl 80 a few days ago and at least 6 of those (that i can remember) have hit lvl 80 while doing the quests in Jotunheim from the shadow vault. Its a bit of a tradition in my guild to finish up there. Most of the chars are post-wotlk so where they hit 60/70 is irrelevant. My first character hit 60 while killing the spirit things on the frozen lake south of everlook in winterspring, and 70 in netherstorm after killing the elite stone giant.
