I heard that there was a way to predownload Cataclysm

So I heard that there was a way to download Cataclysm without actually buying it online by changing something in the WoW folder.
Can anyone confirm this or provide more information?

I can confirm you are able to do this. Cannot post links so will do my best to summarize for you.

You are going to have to edit the Config.WTF file in your world of warcraft folder. Can't remember where it is hidden exactly. From there you are going to look for a line that states

SetAccountType "LK" and change that to "CT".

This will allow you download all the cataclysm files before launch, however it will not enable you to play when it goes live unless you have purchased a pre-order or buy the game to have a cd serial key on hand.
