    Low-price setup

I just put this together for around $400. I was wondering if anone thought it would be a worthy buy. Keep in mind that I'll be playing at 1440x900 res, and I've already got a HDD, keyboard, CD/disk drive, mouse and monitor.

You're gimping yourself with that processor, just warning you. Any way you could spare a bit more cash and pick up a phenom II X4? It would do you a lot better to go for that, and you'd futureproof that build a bit better.

    Also, what about a case?

    ASRock M3A770DE AM3 ATX Motherboard - $59.99 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157176

    Gigabyte GeForce GTS 450 - $109.99 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125342
    AMD Phenom II X2 555 3.2GHz Black Ed - $89.99 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103846
    GeIL Value PLUS (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 RAM - $44.99 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820144461

    total $349.95

everything in my setup will perform better, except for the video card which should be 0-5% behind the 5770.

edit: just go with the 5770 actually, gts 450 isnt on sale anymore ;(

Looks fairly standard stuff without any big problems. Would take bit more expensive CPU, it'll make quite big difference for WoW.
Never going to log into this garbage forum again as long as calling obvious troll obvious troll is the easiest way to get banned.
    Trolling should be.

The ones I see are twice the cost, which would put me at around $470. I'm not actually sure which core will fit the mobo. There's regor, and then there's deneb. I'm all kinds of confused at this point. The case I have will probably fit all of that in it already. It's rather spacious.

Phenom's are the choice for a gaming setup. Athlons are for office builds.

It's all about the socket. The motherboard is socket AM3, so go with a processor that's socket AM3, preferably one of the Phenom IIs, because they just perform better for gaming than any other AMD proc. Yeah, you'll pay more in the beginning, but in the long run you will be praising it.
