    12 Angry Men 8/10

Defiantly recommend this film to anyone who hasnt seen it. Film is in black and white and from the 50's so you have to be in the mood for it. But its simply incredible, the entire film is set in a jury room while juror's discuss a case that isnt as simple as it first appears. Its just one of those films that do a really good job at keeping your attention and engaged in the film. And also the message and themes it sends is important for anyone.

If you havent already seen it, watch it!

    400 Days 6/10
Group of 4 people are put in a simulated test to see if they have the mental stability to endure a long term space trip.

This is an interesting film, with some relatively unknown (to me) actors and actresses, you can see that it was done on a shoe string of a budget and is a definite B movie. Feels way more like the pilot of a TV series than a movie does, especially the ending which left a lot of questions to what happens to two of the "crew", why did none of the residents of the town remember their previous lives, and most important of all what happened to cause the disaster in the first place although the final part is slightly touched on, I find it silly that in the day in age that this film is set, that nothing was recorded. This is a film that goes no where fast, and never actually managed to get where it was going. It is an interesting concept for a film, and one that with a slightly bigger budget and better screenwriters could have been an amazing "B" film.

The Maze Runner : Scorch Trials.
    7/10

This is a pure popcorn flick. the acting is acceptable, the effects are good, but the one thing that let this down was emphasis on Zombies. I don't know what Hollywoods fascination with Zombies is at the moment, but they are fucking everywhere! This film is basically more of the same, a group of teens running round trying to escape the big bad nasty corporation that wants to Harvest there braaaaaaains! (see Fucking zombies) for the cure to the Zombie problem All this whilst avoiding Zombies and people who want to capture and sell them back to the corporation, and get to a safe haven in the mountains.

Yes I gave it a high score, and slated it, but then I am pretty sick and tired of the Zombie! trope that is in the media at the moment, it feels way over used and getting to a saturation point. Taking this into account the film is pretty darn good. Right amount of action to story, and fairly decent acting. you cant ask more for a popcorn flick.

If you're over 25 then it's not really that interesting.

    Ted 2
    2/10
1½ hour of cursing 20 min of telling the same story from Ted 1 and 5 minutes of happy ending.

    James Bond - Spectre
    7/10
Decent movie, but 30 minutes to long.

    Sicario
    5/10
Expected a lot more, but it was a pretty shitty story with a lot of scenes that really didn't mean anything.

Creed 9/10. Fantastic direction and cinematography. Well written and acted. This is one of the best "Rocky" films, better than Balboa and almost on the level of Rocky. Michale B/ Jordon is terrific and so is Stallone. The film doesn't really over do it- it plays like a really well filmed, acted and written film. Super emotional without being cheap or cloying either. A year end surprise!

Better than expected. With higher expections would have rated 4-5.

    Final Girls

    Genre: Horror, Comedy

Plot: A young woman grieving the loss of her mother, a famous scream queen from the 1980s, finds herself pulled into the world of her mom's most famous movie. Reunited, the women must fight off the film's maniacal killer.

    Rating: 6.4/10

Well ? Humorous hommage to 80's slashers with a little bit of drama, that didn't feel try hard or forced. The characters are likeable, the script takes good care of them and the jokes feel genuine. Good entertainment.

    Black Mass

    Genre: Drama

Plot: In 1970s South Boston, FBI Agent John Connolly persuades Irish mobster James "Whitey" Bulger to collaborate with the FBI and eliminate a common enemy: the Italian mob. The drama tells the story of this unholy alliance, which spiraled out of control, allowing Whitey to evade law enforcement, consolidate power, and become one of the most ruthless and powerful gangsters in Boston history.

    Rating: 4.5/10

Well ? ??? This über-generic movie got Johnny Depp all the praise ?! WTF ? Even if Martin Scorsese never would have been born, there are so many, so much better mob movies out there. The apathetic, flat way of storytelling ruins all that could have made the film better if not great. The way it is, "Black Mass" adds nothing new to the table and the good acting performances drown in the mediocrity that the movie ultimatly is.

    It Follows

    Genre: Horror

Plot: After a strange sexual encounter, a teenager finds herself haunted by nightmarish visions and the inescapable sense that something is after her.

    Rating: 11/10

Well ? AMAZING ! Horror that's banking on it's viewers imagination. Excellent storytelling, no dump bimbo who babbles away precious movie time by trying to explain the origin of the creature in pornographic detail (hello Paranormal Activity, hello your average horror movie) or some asshat in the background giving f-cking dumb off commentary "Oh did you see this, oh god, what is this...ROOOOOOB" (hello idiot in "Cloverfield"). The director, who also wrote the script, put much thought in monster and atmosphere and created one of my all time favorite horror movies.

Fun 80's Scifi horror, Basically space vampires (which is the title of the book the film is based on) come to earth and start causing trouble. one of my favourite movies from my early teenage years as it had it all, Action, Adventure, Boobies, Spaceships, vampires, more boobies, flashy special effects, and more boobies. Ok, the acting is a bit ropey at times, and the storyline is a bit silly, but that's what you expect from an 80's sci fi horror.

So I was really disappointed with this one. Wow, clint was the weakest, queerest I've ever seen him in one of his cowboy flicks. It was just bad all around. Bizarre to ... the continuity of the film was questionable, and this is a classic? Bleh.
    2/10
I always thought that For A Few Dollars More was the best of the Clint/Leone westerns. But the sheer scale of TGTBATU is incredible. They couldn't afford to make this without CGIing the extras today. I understand the dislike though, it's far too ponderous and absorbing for modern audiences.

A movie on Netflix called Circle (2015)

I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasently surprised. Sounds boring as sin, aliens upduct people, put them in a room and they have to figure out why they are there, and how to "vote each other off the island." But it was better then the premise.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation 8/10

Found it much better than previous ones (that I never really enjoyed), felt less serious, often funny. Action was great (except for that underwater part thing)

Note: was the first movie I watched on my projector, opinion might be slightly skewed

Much better than was I was expecting. Good and varied action scenes, decent humor and one of the better villains of the franchise (really has the creep factor down to perfection).

Oh yeah I saw that movie too. During Halloween month it was like on some psychological recommended list so I watched it half in the background of my second monitor while doing other shit.

Circle. Some low budget film. It's literally a group of people standing in a circle of a poorly lit room, they don't know how they got there, and every 2 minutes some orb in the center of the room shoots a laser to kill someone. And they can vote on who dies.

It's not really mind blowing. It's okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it and it isn't super clever. 1.25/10. That's a pretty good score considering how simple the script is and them being in only a single room.
