Last film I saw in theaters:
Live action Beauty and the Beast (8/10)
I enjoyed it. I don't like it quite as much as the original cartoon film, but I liked it.

Last film I watched at home:
The Fault in Our Stars (9/10)
Was much better than I anticipated. Very emotional but also has some great humorous moments.

Man, Justice League.......I’m sad. I love both Marvel and DC but I very much prefer the league.

The absolutely highest score I could would be 5-6/10.

First of all, the whole mustache situation is not overblown. It’s bad and it’s that noticeable. How could they let cgi that bad make it to theaters? Anyway, I thought the dialogue overall was pretty bad. The movie seemed to jump very awkwardly between scenes. Why are there so many shots of Wonder Woman smiling? Why did Flash run like a retard?

Having said all that, it’s very comicbooky. There were some deep cuts. I’m excited about the potential of the dceu but also worried about the damage that’s already been do

Dr Strange - 7/10: Fun once it gets going, and has unreal effects / artwork, but both Cumberbatch and Swinton are much more capable actors than they show in this film. Which is a shame. I feel like the movie should have been longer, which is rare for me. Theres some awkward editing and the whole thing feels rushed.

Best in Show - 8.5/10: a rewatch, but this movie is just great in its humor delivery.

    Brigsby Bear (2017) - 8/10

Pretty unique and nice feel-good movie. I went in without knowing much besides the description given on IMDb, which gave me some early surprises.

Birth of the Dragon - 2/10

Bruce Lee biopic about his fight with Shaolin master, Wong Jack Man. It got terrible reviews on IMDB but thought I'd judge it for myself.

They we're right. It sucked! Don't bother with this one.

    Hush - 2.4/10

2k16s latest "gimmick" thriller, this time shes mute/cant hear. (Reminds me of the awful baby driver hype).

What could have been an interesting premise for a thriller really just ends up being set ups for the gags. We get it, you cant see the dude butchering someone to death because you are doing the dishes. Never mind noticing movement or changes in the environment. Deaf/mute = may as well be on mars.

Also the antagonist reveals himself very early on ruining any potential for suspense and his motivations are never questioned or investigated. Borderline torture porn if there was any meaningful or interesting torture even in the film. Very forgettable/non interesting.

    Jeepers Creepers 3 - 4/10

A huge letdown, I think I might've actually rated this too high. The first movie was an absolute classic, the second movie was alright, but the third installment had so many issues that it was hard to believe that they can release this shit after a huge break of the series. There was no story to be found, it was just all over the place with a lot of focus on different groups of characters. The CGI was so bad that it felt like I was watching some SyFy flick. The actual Creeper hasn't done anything new and is actually a lot less scary than he was in the other movies. They gave him way to many close-ups in broad daylight, which took away his creepyness and made him look like a guy in a cheap costume. There was hardly any connection to the other movies despite taking place between the first and second movie.

I felt like eating some popcorn and I had some spare time, so I decided to watch a movie tonight.

It's exactly like Avatar. It's a typical big budget movie that appeals to a widdde variety of audiences, it has a not-earth-like setting with monsters, , light hearted comedy/romance, easy action, and follows the usual themes of a good guy performing justice after having a bad experience.

I liked it a lot. It captivated my attention. A lot of times I thought I should pause the movie to do something else, but I just wanted to continue watching and focus only on the screen (,not my second monitor or phone).

I think a lot of things were done well. The comedy was good enough, the romance wasn't gross or overly shown. All of the characters had charm, the story itself was good. The setting was amazing. The pace was perfect. It progressed amazingly, that's how a movie plot should work; it spent the perfect amount of time on introductions, showing other characters, the side story, and moving the plot forward by showing the characters get used to stuff before moving to the climax. (The main story and research story were done really well together, as well. One didn't take up too much time compared to the other.)

That said, the action was sort of lame. The humans were awesome with martial arts in real life, and then when they fought the monsters it was basically slow punching...

The other critique I have is that the movie is a bit predictable/cliche. It doesn't really do anything new.

This movie fairly deserves an 8/10. I honestly want to give it an 8.5 or even an 8.25 but that would be a bit biased. It's basically a perfect 10, but it loses an entire point because the action scenes were a bit hard to follow, and I thought they were too simple. I also have to subtract one point because the movie is pretty standard: the plot is done exceptionally well, but it's not entirely new. It's really a standard story, repackaged.

Thanks for the recommendations. I thought this was the movie with Rihanna with it and I thought it was going to be awful.

Justice league 3/10 and i think that may be too generous, but gadot was her usual excellent self, acting head and shoulders wbove the rest of the movie.

Plot awful, pacing off, cgi terribad, villan laughable.

    Just a shit movie.

I think its bad when the best part about the movie is Wonder woman lol... no but realy from all the DC movies that came out i only liked Wonder Woman lol Suicide squad was pretty bad Man of steel was oke and Batman vs Superman was kinda terrible so im not realy looking forward at more of them tbh and i realy dont know what they need to do for the movies to become good also they are destroying my love for Batman as i realy dont like how Ben Afflect is portraying him i have to watch the Dark Knight trillogy after every DC movie with him in it just to make me feel better.
I absolutely love Ben Affleck's version of Batman if he could get his own movies. I don't think he fits well into the Justice League movies however. I'm not sure any of the previous Batman's would TBO.

Had a lot of what I want in a super hero movie. A decent story, pretty solid acting, some great comedic moments and amazing superhero action with superheroes doing superhero things.

    Well worth the watch.

    the assassin (2015)
    Chinese Film
(its on netflix if u wanna watch it)

    6/10
a young woman is trained as an assassin, and tests her loyalty by getting a contract to kill her cousin.

Okay, this movie was a bit of a chore to watch. It was extremely atmospheric, and the costumes and setting were excellent. However, the story was very slow and offered very little action, which was a bit of a let down. There is very little music, and almost requires you to force yourself to not turn it off and or fast forward through certain scenes. It won best director at Cannes film festival, so it's done very well but the story is a bit dry, and suddenly just ends. It might be a movie for people who truly like to analyze all parts and scenes of the movie, but I was a bit disappointed.

justice league 8/10. i was expecting more from the Flash tbh considering he's one of the most,if not the most, powerful DC hero.
There is a void in my heart. Have you come to fill it?

What a movie that gets over 5 from blueobelisk!? I had to check it out.

It ending up being a bit better than I first thought and what put me off watching it (Find mech suit movies incredibly lame because the action feels hollow when someone is just punching the air in a pretty room. Assassin creed movie had the same problems.)

But it had Idris Elba giving his all and making up for the sloppy acting of the sons of anarchy dude charlie hunnam. Charlie Day had some funny moments,

Give it a 5 or 6 out of 10 for the family blockbuster it is.

Its his first outing, thats not how power scales works in the superhero movies. Didnt you read Kevin feige handbook "how to make a hero multi universe"

    Justice Leage 5/10

The movie would be adequatly summed up with: Bunch of incompetent guys and semi-competent girl that completely suck against a boring villain until super man can finally be arsed to save the day. I don't know if it made the movie better or worse that super man constantly ridiculed the others. The moment they revived him they might as well have gone to starbucks and waited this one out. At least my girlfriend liked it more than the other superhero movies because aquaman was nice to look at. He killed about 5 disposable cgi soldiers tops during the whole movie but he obviously was just there for the ladies to look at.

    I give it a solid 7.5/10.
Whedon's deft touch shows here. (in a non-sexually threatening manner)

It was big and smashy although I kinda felt like I just watched Thor 2 again. Alfred didn't make fun of Batman enough.

Raw Force: 8/10 A shockingly competent and unironically "good", exploitative B movie.

    not exactly SFW trailer

see this shit Hollywood? these are the kinds of movies that need big budget remakes.

    4/10

After Wonder Women I was pumped at hoping DC finally found their niche... They did not, while they did downplay the dark/grim atmosphere, it did have some funny moment's but it really didn't interest me. what they gave in some aspects they took away in others

The characters were the best part about this movie, everyone was great, from Aquaman, Batman, Flash and Cyborg and Wonder Woman, unfortunately the story was all over the place, the CGI was not good, and it may have been the cinema I was in but did anyone else find the sound quality insufferable at times? Like BvS this was choppy as all hell edited, and I can only blame WB for this.

Nothing grabbed me, but there is effort here, there is a good movie trying to get out, it just didn't get out to me. I really just want a good DC movie outside of Wonder Woman. Why wont you let me love you DC. I want DC to do well, that way when Marvel get complacent DC could be there to give them a kick up the butt. I love DC, but WB is failing to do them justice.
