Help - New at shadow (PvP)

I am new at shadow and will be using it in PvP for Cataclysm. The last time I ever was shadow was two years ago when I leveled my priest to 80 and that was it. So basically I don't have have a vast knowledge of how my rotations should go in PvP. That goes for gearing as well with PvP in shadow.

To give you a glimpse at how bad I am with shadow, I had some shadow priest duel me the other day but he was naked. All he had on was his 270 robe. I myself was in my ICC raiding holy gear.. I still had to win, right? No... He was silencing me and fearing me at the most correct moments.. When I lost I had no idea how he won but then I noticed I was downloading something at 3Mb per second... So basically in the duel I had awful latency which is probably part of the reason why I lost. I just shouldn't of lost so easily still.

If anyone can tell me some general rotations for Cata, it would be appreciated. Telling me how to gear in shadow for Cataclysm in PvP would also be appreciated. I would really like to master this spec and melt faces in PvP like any shadow priest should..... Thanks everyone!

There's not a rotation for PvP but just make sure you always have your DoTs up and then use CC and whittle down their health with Mind Blast/Flay. It would help if you got PvP Shadow gear. And practice makes perfect, just keep PvPing and you'll figure everything out

Practice makes perfect, yes but this guy was literally fearing me and silencing me at the most perfect moments. I am sure there is some kind of rotation in there somewhere. :/ Or it may differ on the class maybe?

I usually open with VT then DP, SW P, MB, MF, MF,VT, MB, refreshing dots, healing, bubbling and cc/silencing as needed. but in pvp you obviously cant really stand in one spot so there is no REAL rotation.Just use your best judgement.

Vs. Caster: cast VT then run in on them casting SWP and DP, fear bomb, MB, Silience, MF MF Psycic Horror, by this time they should be 25%, so SWD SWD, if they are 30%ish spam DP til they are 25% then SWD SWD,

Vs. Melee, Same thing only you cant silience so Fear, then Psycic horror, then chain MF to keep them from getting close to you til 25%, then SWD SWD.

Vs. Rogue, trinket thier opener, fear bomb, DP SWP, they will most likely cloak and blind you, when they re open disperse, PH, dots up MF til Fear bomb is up, then fear nuke them.
