Cataclysm Digital Upgrade Question

So if i were to purchase the digital upgrade right now, would i need to patch anything even though we're on 4.0.3a? If so, how much?

Yeah, there is a bunch of data that you need to download if you buy the digital version. After you buy it, log onto the game like normal and it'll have a progress bar pop up on the character selection screen. Once it hits 100% and you can pick a toon to log on, it'll start downloading the extra Cata data in the background. I just quit the game and started the launcher after that so it would download faster.

I can't remember how big it was, it was sizable but it was less than 1 gig and didn't take too long on my connection, which isn't the speediest. I assume it's the cinematics.

It's around 860mb if I remember rightly, if you don't have background downloader on. Log onto wow, then close it and load the launcher. Then it will start downloading the patch.

Anybody knows if its required to log of on 00:01?
