with that being said, are they still going to scale UP, like when you hit 81 are they going to have the stats of 81 gear? Or are they just going to stay at their normal 80 stats?

They stop scaling at 80 too.

BOA will not level past 80 and will not give extra exp past 80. The moment you ding 80.

There will be new BoA gear you can purchase that will work 1-85 but until you get to that point there's nothing for that 80-85 grind.
