Quick Shadowy Apparitions question

Ok so this may be a silly question but I'm not sure I understand the mechanics behind Shadowy Apparitions and I'm hoping someone here can enlighten me. Does the increased chance to proc them only occur if you're moving when you initially cast the spell? Or should I try and be moving during the dot's duration to increase my chance of procc'ing them? I don't want to be running around in circles like a drunk monkey if I don't need to be.

i think its based on moving while the dot is on the target, As on beta i dotted up target dummys and moved and proced like 500000000 (tho its nerfed now), If your planning to aoe farm i dont tihnk it be wise, And you should just dot and nuke one at a time.

Dot then run around in circles. Casting the spell doesn't seem to make a difference if your moving.
