That is not very useful. It includes crappy low level blues and it does NOT include rings, trinkets, necklaces, weapons or relics.

It included 1 low level item .. But here is a better filter, it includes leather armor, trinkets, rings, amulets, cloaks, relics and all that good jazz..

Best in slot lists are rather useless. For one, you don't need to have the BEST in slot in order to advance to heroics or raids. Second, there might be other items that are nearly as viable as the BEST in slot items, but if you follow a list, you tend to ignore everything else blindly.

What you should do is to aquaint yourself with what stats you need and when to upgrade. Go for items with the most intellect to begin with with reforged gear to reach hit cap and get as much haste as possible. It doesn't REALLY matter much if you have the choice between an item with crit or one with mastery, especeially when both can be reforged to haste and the two of them are fairly close.

Sure, you can go for a rough list - I mean, there's no point farming the same instance for gear if no gear drops for you, but it shouldn't be your ultimate reference. With reforging, Blizzard has empowered you to make your own choices when gearing up. All you need is to use your noggin'.
