How many Cataclysm copies sold? Anyone knows?

Hi,

It just came to my mind that 2 years ago Blizzard informed us about huge success with WotLK sales during first 24 hours after its release... Numbers were pretty huge that time: 2.8 million of copies sold in one day (incl. pre-ordes).... No wonder Blizzard placed this number among the hot news on official WoW website immediately.

Not this year!... No numbers on official website this time whatsoever... What happened?!... Were not the results as good as expected?... Is the situation different in any way (we still got Xmas in a few weeks) this year?

I would give it time still. There were some shipping problems here and there, especially with the CE. You might hear something next week and I'm sure there will be a Blue Post thanking the subscribers.

It will depend how many were sold digitally through Blizzard store, through online retailers, and through brick and mortar retailers.

Not trying to be rude, but you posted almost this exact same thing yesterday only with the implication that ActiBlizz was somehow "nervous" by low sales and that was the reason this info wasn't available. As any regular forum user could have predicted it did not go over well.

On topic the numbers will be out when they are out. Blizzard couldn't keep them secret if they tried. At some point it will be up. Continuing to post the same question and imply that they are trying to keep it secret because of low sales is just annoying. Especially since server queue on some servers have been hours long. Plenty of people are obviously playing...

Well, without numbers all we can do is speculate.

However, the four hour queue times on Kil'Jaeden US seem to indicate that Cataclysm is doing amazingly well.
