I have heard that mages it doesn't hurt, that they can spell steal it back? Any truth to this?

Does not work.

The diseases are hard-wired to only check for your own diseases (Frost fever and Blood Plague)

Wrong. As I said earlier, Devouring Plague copied by your Dark Simulacrum counts as your own Disease. I just tested it, right now on live, by copying a Priest's Plague and using Scourge Strike on them with no other diseases present. The Scourge Strike did additional Shadow Damage, something it cannot do without your diseases on the target.

vs. WL what works:
- Shadow/Netherward: WOULD work, though when used its in CD and DK gets error message cant do that
- Soulburn: Same as above ^
- Guardian Pets work
- Demon Armor works, hold for 1min. Fell Armor doesnt
- Drain Soul
- All nukes, dots, stuns
