    Rated Battlegrounds?

Are rated battleground made with guilds, or are they seperate groups, like Arena teams?

For Rated Battlegrounds all you need to do to get started is get the appropriate number of players in a raid (10 or 15 depending on week) and queue. It's as simple as that. You do not need to form a pre-defined team like arena and you are free to swap in/out anyone you want. You can play with one group of people one week and a totally different group of people the next. You also do not need to be in the same guild as the people you are playing with, however playing with a guild group will grant your guild experience and make them eligible for guild achievements. To be considered a guild group 8 of 10 (or 12 of 15) players in the group must be in the same guild, when you meet the criteria you will see a small guild banner attached to your mini-map while in the rated BG's.

Ah thanks for the heads up. So apparently you cant go down in rating?

As far as I understood, there is no gear rating requirment at all on PvP gear anymore?

You can go down in rating, but the way the system is set up, you can't go down in rating until you reach your estimated rating. If you are estimated to be 2400, then you shouldn't lose rating until you reach 2400. BUT... Your estimated rating changes from game to game, although it shouldn't change much. Also, there is no requirement for the better pvp gear. Also, there is a cap on the amount of conquest points a player can earn per week, and having a higher rating will allow you to gain a higher maximum amount of conquest points per week.

example) Player A has a rating of 100 and can earn 200 conquest points per week. So, he does some arena or random bg daily and maxes out with 200 points for that week.
Player B has a rating of 2000, and can earn 4000 conquest points per week. So, he does arena and bgs during the week and earns 4000 points for the week.

As you can see, the higher rating allows the better players to gear up much more quickly.

Note: There is a 2200 requirement from what I've read for some gear that as different aesthetics. It has the same stats as the better pvp gear, but it looks different. Probably a lot cooler.

I thought all could get the maximum 1343 points?
