Boomkin healing

Decided to lvl my lvl80 Resto to lvl 85 with a balance spec and having a lot of fun so far.

However it's annoying in the extreme that as soon as I heal myself I drop out of Boomkin form.
Am I missing something or is this something all Balance druid suffer from.

Also entangling roots always seems to break making it almost pointless to use,
again what am I missing here?

Working as intended, and roots breaks after about 5k damage, only use it to keep mobs in place that you are going to kill later.
