when is blizz going to realize it's shit? it's the worst rogue stat and it's yet again fueled by auto-attack; didn't blizz want rogues to be less about auto-attack?

There will always be a "worst" stat for any spec. In this case, it just happens to be Blizzard's new fancy stat, Mastery. It actually isn't too far behind Crit based on some of the EP values I've seen.

On your second point, I agree. Maybe that's the very reason they are leaving Mastery as the "worst" stat? (at the moment anyways)

u have a talent that can give u extra energy on your off hand auto attack ye ?
so with mastery u get more off hand attacks and therefor u get more energy and therefor u get spam your spells more often

Yes, that would be the idea, but it's still a shitty Mastery. The Mastery basically says to use a Fast Main Hand when Combat is built around using a Slow Main Hand.

Combat Mastery (Main Gauche) has been modeled extensively by people with much more knowledge about how rogue's work than me. 3/3 Combat Potency is required in any Combat spec, and therefor included in the modeling. EP values have been established for rogue stats, and Mastery comes out on the bottom almost all of the time. You should not be stacking Mastery as a Combat Rogue.
