In difficult times the rich get richer

I am not going to start off by saying you should believe everything you are told but I will say that it's important to keep an open mind.

I believe that people like Alex Jones and Jessie Ventura have hidden Agenda's for the whole "truth movement" but on the same token they do deliver bits of truth here and there. Take the 911 truth movement for example. Now I am not saying that 911 was or wasn't an inside job but let’s think about this for a moment. The American people are increasingly becoming aware that it doesn't matter which party they vote into power they end up struggling with the same old BS with money scandals and lack of trust in the very people that run the country. So what are some of the ways that you could gain support and rally people for your cause? A catastrophic event that would leave people fearful and unquestioning and use that fear to your advantage.

In my opinion operation Iraqi freedom is more about freeing fossil fuels and not the people from an oppressive government. Freeing the people and ridding the world of "terrorists with weapons of mass destruction" is what the government and media used to motivate the people into agreeing to the war without question.

In order to fully understand the impact of the 911 event we have to look at it from every angle. Just as a crime scene detective would investigate motive to locate a suspect... the same rules should apply during warfare. Was their motive for the United States to go to war with Iraq to gain a foothold into a declining fossil fuel? Yes but selling that idea to the people doesn't work. In my opinion the fabricated "WOMD" story and the recent wound of losing loved ones was used to bolster the war on "terrorists".

With the decline of Sadams army the attention was now turned locally. Suddenly your neighbor, your friend, your co-worker could be a terrorist and they developed Homeland security. A private government branch and doesn't answer to the people.

This world is in a very messy and uncertain situation right now and things are looking bleak. People have spent a lot of time living and fear while the rich profit off the suffering of an unemployed people.

We MUST change our priorities and start forcing our governments and our businesses to focus on renewable resources which have been available for centuries. We MUST stop living in fear and lining up for EVERY vaccine which alter the very fabric of life to become dependent on drugs and vaccines in order to survive. We MUST stop living as X religion believing that Y religion is wrong. We MUST stop raping the planet and giving nothing in return. We MUST remember the rules of our little blue\green planet or it will no longer support our lives here.

We are sitting at a tipping point which can still be reversed if we try and apply different ways of living to our lives. Rethink our priorities before it’s too late.

    \end plea to humanity

While I'm sure that fossil fuels had a small part in the Bush administrations desire to go to Irag, if it was the the deciding factor then it would have been better to go to Iran. The biggest reason for going to war at all was that many people in the administration had ties to defense contractors. Companies like Halliburton made enormous profits off of defense contracts that were paid for by tax payer's dollars. Private defense companies Blackwater also profited, while having little to no oversight.

Yes to the getting off the fossil fuel thingy, but the rest makes me think you are either very young and impressionable ( I was there once ) or a bit of a conspiracy nut. Good luck with everything...

I'm never one for conspiracy, especially people like Alex Jones.

However, I firmly believe Obama is a goddamn coward for extending Bush Tax Cuts.

Conspriacy nut is not the word to describe myself. Open minded is the word I choose. I choose that word because people hear the word "Conspiracy" and instantly descredit them because "conspiracy" isn't possible in any way, shape or form... am I right?

That or a plant by the Republicans and Big Business to ensure that Democrats never again gain the power that they once had. Oh and to ensure that the presidents of the U.S. continue to only be old white men.

I find people like Alex Jones to be incredibly annoying. They sell fear just as hard and as skillfully as other members of the mass media and in turn profit off of it. While I believe that an entire wipe of our government is necessary, I think that trying to make claims of conspiracy is just more fear-mongering; another thing to keep us numb to the actual problem. The truth is that we were never intended to be run or worked over by professional politicians; the idea of our government was to have regular people serve in a higher office for a short period...To do something positive for their country before returning to their usual profession. Unfortunately, as time goes on and rhetoric continues to be the most powerful thing about the English language, we continue to be plagued by the suits that don't care about us. They don't do things to champion the American people; they do things that they want. Obama promised us transparency; a visual government. I know a man can't change anything in one term; change takes time and a number of different catalysts. However, providing a more visual government never happened. The Healthcare Bill, which contained other, non-related provisions, was passed in the dead of night.

Quite honestly, I can't trust a government that resorts to this. I can't trust a government that doesn't work for me. We are basically the employers of these politicians and while I don't buy into the conspiracy hype, I do believe that a change is necessary in Washington; something to put the power back into our hands.

Thats like saying liberals are now calling themselves "Progressives" because the word liberal now has a negative rap sheet. Its the same goddamn term to anyone intelligent enough to recognize it, and you still look like just as big a moron for saying that 9/11 was an inside job, or that the bureaucracy, which is, mind you, monitored by the president AND by Congress (budget ftw) is suddenly an evil mastermind plotting to destroy human rights and turn Americans against one another.

The only things that can be claimed in government are things that can be PROVED. Destroying Human rights, inside jobs, mastermind government, it all doesn't matter if you can't prove it is happening for the reasons you state. And you do have the power to change things: stop re-electing the same old politicians again and again and bring new people in. And no, that does not mean Socialists or big business people, it means people that have a legitimate interest in protecting the rights of the people and the interests on which this nation was founded.

God really, He has tried but has been a really big disappointment most of the time. I was hoping they wouldn't extend the tax cuts for the rich and that he would put up a fight. Instead he took the first offer they gave him.

I lol'd. I'm not supporting the opposite side, but are you really blaming the opposite party because the party you support isn't doing what you want them to do? We have nobody to blame but Obama for not keeping his promises to us.

Not even the Bush Administration was dumb enough to believe that we could take Iran.

I'm a liberal, and I'm getting incredibly sick of people finding excuses for Obama's pathetic performance.

Actually, that is why liberals use the word "progressive", because liberal has been turned into a four letter word. When polled, Americans overwhelmingly support liberal positions, but the word "liberal" itself polls very low.

I don't have to prove anything to you to have an open mind. Quite frankly I don't care what you believe or don't believe. I didn't say it was an inside job, I said it was a possiblity and there's evidence to support it.

is or was there not a youtube movie from a student who made a investigation into 9-11? he took all film material he could gather and found some really disturbing and odd facts on them.

right before a tower collapst the camera who was on another building shook like it was hit by a little earthquake ( possible a bigg bomb inside the WTC building )

while collapsing you could see little explosions at the corners of the WTC building right before that floor also collapst.

the ppl that made the WTC sad it was impossible for it to collapse from a airplain crash seeing it was build to withstand one? also the inferno the plane left behind wasn't hot enough to melt the steel of the frames.

USA sent F16 fighter jets into the air only to sent them right OPPOSITE of the location the had to go....

pentagon was hit by a plane yet FBI or CIA ect took all camera data and gave us 3 snapshots back after weeks showing nothing something bright and a explosion... there where atleast 15 camera's around that spot with 50 frames per second.

^ sad plane also had 2 engines with a weight of tonns! yet the didn't leave a dent on the walls? only a perfect round circle without any plane debree.

sorry to say this and i know ill be flamed but i strongly suspect the goverment's involvement in the 9-11 disaster...

I agree. I voted for the guy because he was claiming to be a no-nonsense liberal president willing to introduce more social programs and end some of the terrible legislation that went through during the Bush Administration. Now that he's in the face of adversity with a half/half Congress, it seems it's time to back down for him.

The biggest problem our government faces is that it's oversized. People get voted in with promises that never get kept. If there has to be a government they should be small and maintainable and the PEOPLE not the GOVERNMENT should be the ones keeping a watchful eye.

There's evidence to support your statement and anyone that thinks there isn't is probably too busy watching survivor and cheating on their wifes with their secretary. I won't confirm of deny my beliefs partly because the government didn't release a full report that family members believed. It appears they kept things out.

If you don't get the truth from the source, you have to leave room for other sources and other possibilities.
