    How does tociology work exactly?

So I know that untalented, the crit modifier for serpent sting is 150%. When I tested naked, my serpent sting ticked for 606 and crit for 909.

However, with 2/2 toxicology, my serpent sting only crits for 1211 (still ticking for 606).

Isn't this talent supposed to increase the crit damage by 100%? +100% of 909 is 1818.

If anyone can explain to me why this is, I'd appreciate it. Even if it was additive (250% crit modifier instead of 150%), the damage should still be 1515.

It doubles the additional damage of a crit. So instead of critting for 150% (50% extra), you crit for 200% (100% extra). Lots of specs have similar talents that function the same way.

More to the point, the crit damage is the extra damage which is 303 (606+303=909). Doubling that would be 606, making you crit for 1212 (606+606=1212) which is pretty much what you observed.

It was my understanding that the talent allows it to crit for 200% damage, which according to your numbers looks correct.

Talents like that have really confusing wording.
