How does the point cap work? What would a 2k rating give you?

Anybody know how exactly the points cap works? Would a 2k rating be 2k points cap or it doesnt equal to that?

I've seen somewhere screen from beta where guy had 2350 rating and cap at 2800 points, but nothink is confirmed.

I'd like to know this as well, but haven't really found anything about it. But i doubt you'd get over 1000 point cap boost in one week, maybe but i just don;t think so.
