[Disc Priest] More mp5 from Int Proc's?

With propper Rapture \ Shadowfiend management, would the Lightweave (580 Int) and Power Torrent (500 int) enchants grant more mana return than Heartsong and Darkglow for a Disc Priest?

    Edit: Lightweave could grant more.

    Mana pool without Lightweave: 88006
    Rapture Proc: 5280.38

    Mana pool with Lightweave: 98716
    Rapture Proc: 5922.96

So with Lightweave, you would get getting an extra 640 mana from Rapture. With a 12 sec internal CD, you could get (best case scenario) 2 rapture procs per Lightweave for a total of 1280 mana. That could be a 480 mana over the Darkglow depending on if your Rapture proc'd just before Lightweave did.

For a Disc, it seem's as though Lightweave would be an all around better enchant.

Lightweave proc = Stronger shields\heals as well as bigger rapture proc's. Factoring in Shadowfiend it clearly beats Darkglow hands down.

I think that it would depend alot on someones playstyle, personally id go with heartsong and Darkglow because of the rate of proc and how much uptime they have, while others would choose int because more mana and so on. For raiding however i would go for lightweave and power torrent.

you have to consider the overall uptime with both to see if the MP5 from Heartsong and Darkglow outweigh the direct mana from Rapture and SF to determine what gives you better regen. Keep in mind few things a) More Spell power would Yeild stronger healing thus reducing the rate at which you cast and thus you can conserve more mana overall by having to cast less spells b) Mana management is really really important now days so in a raid environment where you have to pay attention to the Tank's HP and dodge stuff at the same time thus if you miss a proc and not use Rapture optimally you may be gimping yourself in the mana you can get back. My advice that for now at lower tiers of gear go for Hearsong and Darkglow for more consistent Regen vs watching for procs and trying to time spells in a potentailly hectic raid environment. When we get to higher tiers of gear where you own spirit makes your mana more sustainable you can always swap for int enchants for better healing and stuff

Speaking from someone who's played shadow and saw how frequently lightweave procs, I'd advise against relying on 2 procs for mana regen instead of straight up mana regen enchants. You're having to time 1 proc (lightweave) with a second proc (rapture) and in the end you could miss that small window of opportunity to gain what mathmatically is possible. You bubble too early or too late (or the tank dodge an attack that would have popped your bubble or the boss suddenly does some casted spell after you throw a bubble on the tank when your rapture ICD is up and the spell doesn't go off until after lightweave is gone) and your rapture won't hit while you have a lightweave proc and then you're screwed for almost a full minute to get mana regen from an enchant.

Bottomline is there are too much room for RNG error for it to be beneficial over static regen or regen procs which guarentee you'll get mana back.

Plus Blizzard has nerfed int/mana pool based regen into the ground for all classes including dps and is making all healers start stacking spirit & dps time their mana regen CD's which all have now...and even dps mana regen spells were nerfed because Blizzard wants mana management to matter in Cata.
