Gotta say a very interesting choice and a very risky one too
Having a older guy play the doctor is very risky and could put off alot of fans imo particularly the younger fans who have only known young guys to play the doctor
Not me though im a old school dr who fan so i am thrilled to be able to enjoy a older guy play the doctor once more

I wonder what his personality will be like, can't really imagine as a bow ties are cool type of doctor more of a dark- cross between Christopher eccleston and an older doctor :P

I welcome the older Doctor route, and I am hoping he plays a darker version of the Doctor. I really liked Eccleston, but he still had a quirky side. I want Capaldi to go even further into darkness. Originally Posted by Combooticus
