I haven't tried it with BC/WotLK enchants per se, but will point out that helm and shoulder enchants from BC & WotLK can be applied to heirlooms (they just don't offer the bonuses till the character meets the level requirement).

Oh I know, I was referring to blade ward and blood drain. I tried applying BC and wrath chants (from enchanting, not arcanum or shoulder chant) on BoA weps and gear and got the message saying item was low level.
