Skinning bug?

So, I was doing dailies in TB. We controlled it, so I was in the base doing those. I went to do the croc quest, but decided I would clean up other people's mess first. Why waste free corpses? =) Anyway, there was a stack of three croc corpses. I skinned the first one and picked up what looked to be a bloated stomach. It had the icon for it, but... after I picked it up, and it went in my LW bag, it morphed into a soulbound 333 blue leather helm called Hood of the Crying Rogue. I got excited. I didn't know you could get blue items from skinning. Then I noticed a couple of oddities. I had said something in guild chat about getting it. Someone asked if I was sure I had got it from skinning. I had, cause I was just skinning other people's corpses, not killing yet. Then they asked for a link, but it wouldn't link. It just put the name into chat. I also noticed that the icon is of a pink cake and NOT the normal icon it should be based on what wowhead shows. I also searched all over wowhead, on the item page and under skinning, and nothing is mentioned anywhere about getting blue items from skinning. So, ... lucky bug?

EDIT2: Nvm, it was just that, a bug. I had logged out for a while and played on another toon. When I logged back in it was no longer a helm, but a normal bloated stomach with volatiles in it.
