Kurt Russell
He has a pretty wide range when it comes to characters. He can be dead serious or lighthearted goofball. He can be tough as nails or play the underdog everyman.

My favorite actor is Daniel Day Lewis. There isn't a single person who is on his level in terms of acting. His performance in There Will Be Blood is in my opinion, the best performance ever right next to Deniro in Raging Bull.
So it's DDL followed by Phillip Seymour Hoffman who is fantastic in just about every movie he is in, and then Sean Penn. Next would be probably the most talented actor, Gary Oldman. He has the most range and versatility I've seen from anybody. Steve Buscemi and Liam Neeson come to mind as well.
As far as Actresses go... Kate Winslet, Meryll Streep, and Natalie Portman are pretty good. (Black Swan was excellent.)

Bruce Campbell, for sure. But I also have a great deal of affection for Jason Segal, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Jake Gyllenhaal, Jack Black, and Shia Lebeouf (weird list, I know).
Can't think of too many ladies I'm digging at the moment; usually to preoccupied with the ones I can't stand. Though two I do genuinely like are Natalie Portman and Olivia Wilde. They're both SOOOO beautiful.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Natalie Portman for modern actor/actresses. For all time, I'd go with Jack Nicholson and Audrey Hepburn.

Jeffrey Donovan. In my opinion he's the best actor in history. Just go watch Burn Notice and you'll see what I mean.
