(Relative stat values, stat weighting, whatever you want to call it.) For quite some time I have been wondering how this is done. I have been searching around on the Internet to see whether anything in regard to this already existed, but without much luck. As a result, I decided to create a new thread concerning this.

If I am not wrong, there are several ways of calculating this, which will give different numbers, but I assume the ratio is approximately the same. Am I correct? Also, it seems that AEP (could be nice with a confirmation here, though) is one way of calculating this, while putting the BiS gear into a simulator (e.g. Mew) is another way. Is this also correct? What I do not understand regarding the latter, though, is how this should work, since BiS, and gear upgrades generally, is determined by stat weights, which in this case has switched place in order (using gear to determine relative stat values, rather than using relative stat values to determine gear).

Intelligent insights are most welcome. A thorough explanation would be awesome.
