One of the draws of our guild has always been its supportive and friendly atmosphere, which has not lessened a jot as we progress through Cataclysm content. We started as a very casual raiding guild in BC and have since "grown up" into a more dedicated raiding guild, but the old guard, many of whom are still here, have made sure to keep the atmosphere down to earth. We can offer you a happy home amongst intelligent, dedicated raiders who haven't forgotten the meaning of 'fun'.
What we're looking for and what we expect
We're looking for a mature set of skilled, dedicated and loyal players to join our diverse raid squad and progress with a unique guild through 25-man content. Bring skill, dedication and enthusiasm, and we will invest in you.
• A high level of attendance for all raids, while we understand not everyone can make absolutely all of our raids, the best geared and most proficient at their role tend to be people with close to 100% attendance.
• Our raid times are 21:00 - 00:00 on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. If you can't make these times, this is not the guild for you.
• As a progress raiding guild, we require a roster of players dedicated to the guild and with that players who understand that their specialisation or class may not be the best set-up for the guild to take to a certain encounter, because of this we expect players who apply to realise that it is unlikely that you will be brought to every raid, at least until you have proven to us that you're the best choice.
• The ability to learn from your mistakes, we are all human and even the most skilled player can make a mistake once in awhile. However, the difference is that the 'skilled' player can adapt and is unlikely to make the same mistake again. If you cannot learn from your mistakes and improve, you're time in the guild is likely to be short.
• You should have a good level of raiding experience. Typically the better players that apply to us have played since vanilla or at least the start of the Burning Crusade. If you have only been playing since Wrath of the Lich King, we will expect you to be on top of your game. Whenever you started, it goes without saying - you need to have the best set of talents for your given role including gem choices.
• Chancres is a social guild, you will be required to integrate within our structure, a raid-logger is not something we are typically after. In addition, you must be tolerant of others and prepared to accept that jokes will be made at your expense as well as others and that if you can't take this, Chancres might not be the best place to apply to.
• You must be able to speak English fluently and not just within a chat box i.e. you will be required to use your microphone.
• Chancres has a strong guild personality and you will need to fit in with us. This means that you can take a joke, have a good sense of humour, and can take criticism. Overly sensitive people will not fit in with us. You need to be able to take criticism when you make a mistake and you need to be able to let the criticism roll off without it stressing you out.
• Lastly, be over the age of 18. In the past we have taken in some younger players and will always consider this if the said player's application was exceptional. Nonetheless we are not looking for players who have a set playtime.
