You couldn't have chosen a more unfortunate turn of phrase there could you?

Is it bad that I mentally added the caption "George W. Bush shows off his brand new cursive handwriting to his friends, who are suitably impressed" before noticing Star Wars bad guy?

We really don't need to joke about a tragedy like this. I don't care if you think it's funny, it's still distasteful.

You're a fine example of how gamer communities have become infested with endlessly whining and bitching, arrogant, opinionated, unreasonable, all the way immature, completely delusional, tendentially psychotic, insulting individuals one really doesn't want to be linked with. And playing with you guys is certainly no fun at all. I don't know where this kind of folks spawns from. Must be a nest somewhere ...

    How about a 9/11 joke?

    too soon?

Anyone else think Jaime Lannister only has the Kingslayer title because he was just too lazy to kill the king on heroic mode?

"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs." -Paul Krugman

It is, but I don't think the majority of us do it to be crude and horrible (Having some faith in humanity at least). I actually joke about things to kinda make it a little better, to make the mood less tense, sorta like how Spider-man jokes. It's our way of dealing with it (that's not to say I go out of my way to crack jokes about it though).

I still can't post pictures yet or I would, but I had to say that I think it's ironic how it's so horrible to joke about what happened (yes it's a tragic event) yesterday, but we can make Hitler and Holocaust jokes and everyone is ok with it. I mean don't get me wrong, I love a good holocaust joke. All I'm saying is that people are too sensitive when they "care" about the situation. You can't "care" about one thing and not another when the other is massively worse and nothing in our history has ever come close to it.

If people can't joke about current events, how is it ok to joke about the Holocaust?

Haven't been a mod as long as this thread has been open so can't say for sure, but pretty sure it's not. Hitler references? sure. Holocaust jokes? No.

If you have problems with mod actions please PM Sunshine about it rather than discussing it in a thread, but for now please try to be respectful about it.

Yar, difference between jokes mocking Mr. Hitler and jokes mocking those who were killed in the holocaust.
