Oddly enough that is made with a modicum of truth, at least from my age. "bullies" more often than not, at my school at least, where more apt to become your friend after a year or so. You get made fun of for liking a card game? Find a group of friends who also like/play it, cant find anyone? stop bringing it up in school. Honestly, most "bulling" I encountered was along those lines, people just don't have the thick skin they used to

In high school, I let a random person cut in line ahead of me, and I took the blame for some random thing for him -- someone I've never met -- and he said that "I was pretty cool". It didn't take long, however, for him to learn that I was a loner and a nerd, and quickly picked on me. I didn't yell that I love ponies or whatever you want to say (I don't, not that it matters). Moreover, it didn't bother me. Who cares? If he wants to call me names, let him call me names. If I gave him attention, it would only get worse, so why would I fuel the fire?
