You think Boston is confusing, take a look and London
Nuclear weapons: A firm public commitment to build the £100bn renewal of the Trident weapons system, followed by an equally firm private commitment not to build it. They’re secret submarines, no one will ever know. It’s a win win.

They ask me why I'm bringin' - A baby into battle - That's really irresponsible - And getting them rattled
I say "give me a break - Get off of my back damn, it" - I didn't learn parenting - My daddy was a planet

It's due to Boston being an older city. Older cities tended to grow more organically.

Amsterdam was unique in that it wasn't built to keep people out, it was built to promote trade and invite people in.

Amsterdam also isn't comparable to New York or Boston.

Boston is an original settler's town, where the city grew organically. meanwhile, New York was originally built that way as well, but was radically reconstructed in the early 1800s to be more structured and invite trade.

Amsterdam was a medieval town that was later expanded to grow closer to the neighboring cities. other nations, like the US, explored, built cities and then connected them with roads, then built villages around those roads.
Currently only reading the Funny Pictures Megathread because the rest of the forums is filled with piss, whiners and pissed whiners.

I could talk history and geography for pages (being my major and all) but I'm afraid we might upset the natives.

    In all fairness:

Mountains rise in the distance stalwart as the stars, fading forever.
Roads ever weaving, soul ever seeking the hunter's mark.
