PVP Zone, when, how?

I recently read that the new pvp zone Tol Barad (sp?) is not always a pvp zone. That unless there's an ongoing battle you can run the dailies with being attacked by the opposing faction as well as the guards.

1. So is this true?

2. If it is true:

A) How do you know when there's no battle going on?
B) When the battle will begin?
C) And who is in control of the zone?

I've not gone there yet but will be soon and I'd like to know about this.

1. Yep, 100% true, as soon as the battle ends you can enter with no pvp flag
2. A. Top of your screen it will tell you if theres a battle, also, if you enter the zone when theres a battle going on and are not IN the battle you get ported out
B. Tells you on the top of the screen
C. See above

So there's no way to know about the battle unless you go in the zone then?

Open up your PvP tab (H) and it will tell if you if Tol Barad is in progress or not.

If you are on Kalimdor or Eastern Kingdoms, Tol Barad is listed in the Battleground queue just like Wintergrasp. You can see how long until a match there.
