I made a worgen rogue the other day because I wanted to try out their starting zone. So I sent him the heirloom chest, shoulderpads, two daggers and a bow.
I wore these items from level 1-10, and as I dinged 10, I noticed they hade the blue refund-text on them, which I thought was very weird. Did anyone else experience this? (I never sold the items, because I was afraid that I was going to lose them)

Happened to me, i don't think it works anymore, well you use to be able to refund it for JP on your lv10, but they fixed it

the text appears but you cannot refund the item. happened to me as well, and I tried
